Temperature requirements through the effervescent tablet production progress

The environmental control in the tablet compression workshop: The requirements of the production workshop for effervescent tablets in the process of granulation and tablet compression are a relative humidity of 20%-25%, and a temperature of 15-22°C. Before production, air conditioning and dehumidification systems should be activated to meet the requirements, in order to prevent moisture absorption during production,causing mold sticking.

a. Sticking during tablet compression is related to inadequate environmental temperature and humidity conditions, as well as the choice of formulation ratios. The formulation should include water-soluble lubricants (some manufacturers use sodium stearyl fumarate) to prevent sticking and sedimentation.

b. Requirements for tablet compression molds: The surface of the molds used for compressing effervescent tablets should be mirror-polished and coated to improve smoothness and wear resistance.

c. Tablet hardness: This can be adjusted by modifying the compression pressure and increasing the dwell time during compression, which is controlled by adjusting the equipment rotating speed.

d. If sticking occurs with special materials, a mold spraying machine can be installed to address the issue.
