Responding to the government's initiative on environmental protection and to address the long-standing issue of energy consumption issue that has affected its development for a long time, a foreign-funded pharmaceutical company in Zhejiang put forward the slogan of "Combine Electricity and Heat, Get Rid of Boilers", and utilize waste heat plus electricity as a substitute for the boiler heating mode, which can greatly reduce the waste of energy and decrease the enterprise’s operating costs.
Our company organized an in-house professional technical team to conduct an on-site investigation, and found that:
- 01. Steam boilers are mainly for the regenerative heating of 12 dehumidification systems.
- 02. Chilled water is from 10 air-cooled units, and much waste heat is discharged to the outside with fans.
Based on the actual on-site situation, our solution includes:
- Suggesting the customer to conduct waste heat recovery transformation on the 10 air-cooled units, converting waste heat into hot water;
- Transformation on the dehumidification systems by using Dryer's patented low-temperature regeneration technology, and fully utilizing the recovered hot water for regeneration at the temperature of 45°C-55°C to get rid of boilers and steam. The transformation on all the 12 dehumidification systems can save the customer around RMB 1,500,000 Yuan of operating costs per year.
